FY2019

In fiscal 2019, the name of the program was changed to "SD Joint Training Program".

Overview of the business

As education and research in higher education institutions become more sophisticated and complex, SD will become mandatory from 2017, and it is hoped that faculty and staff will further improve their qualifications and promote collaboration between the teaching profession.
In addition, the environment surrounding higher education institutions is changing rapidly, and university staff are increasingly required to acquire a wide range of knowledge and advanced expertise.
The SD Joint Training Program aims to reduce the costs of each member university by taking advantage of economies of scale with the aim of improving the capabilities of staff and improving the efficiency and sophistication of university operations.
Please use it as an opportunity to exchange information and build networks beyond universities.

Business etiquette

Business etiquette is an essential basis for working adults and university faculty and staff. However, as we get used to work, we tend to become neglected or selfish. We will thoroughly review business etiquette that becomes ambiguous.
Business etiquette also begins with treating others with kindness, care and attention. Through business manners, young and veteran employees will learn how to communicate that can be used in their current work.

【Aim of the training】
1) Improve
business manners and communication skills 2) Learn how to receive requests to enhance team cooperation and practice

Assertion (self-expression) ~Properly convey your thoughts based on the positions of diverse counterparts~

Assertions are self-expressions that both you and the other person value.
Most people's worries and troubles arise from human relationships.
In particular, when interacting with diverse people such as parents and students with different positions and ways of thinking, as well as university faculty members and staff, there is an unconscious tendency to unconsciously express oneself in a non-assertive way. Your thoughts may or may not be agreed with by the other person, and conversely, you may or may not agree with the other person's request. There can be temporary conflicts.
In this training, you will learn the importance and techniques of building good relationships with others through discussions that incorporate assertions.

Improvement of problem-solving skills

In the course of work, there are many situations where "problems" are discovered, responses are considered, and measures are taken to solve them. However, are we, the university staff, able to solve all the "problems" that we encounter on a daily basis? There are situations where various kinds of "problems" are being talked about and discussed here and there, such as "problems" for which there is no solution for which there is no solution or not knowing whether they are "problems" in the first place.
In this training, we will confirm how university staff should solve problems as part of their work, and aim to acquire methods to examine problems, which is the first step.

■Leadership and workplace revitalization

In this training, mid-level employees such as those who will become leaders in the future will think about leadership in the workplace (section, section, etc.) of their university and aim to understand the actions necessary as a leader.
It is important for leaders to know themselves, to know others, and to know us (their own organization). Therefore, participants would like to learn from each other through exchanging experiences on (1) understanding the characteristics of university organizations, (2) making use of the beliefs, philosophies, strengths and characteristics of individuals and organizations, (3) connecting individual tasks with missions and visions, (4) human resource development through work, and (5) personal growth.

for learning activities outside of regular curricular activities by administrative staff ~What you can do at Learning Commons~

Universities are required to be student development institutions as an organization as a whole, and various departments at each university provide support activities in their own forms to support extracurricular learning activities. I would like to make it a place for participants to reflect on the efforts of their own universities and learn about the cases of other universities, and to think about what kind of team the educational staff and administrative staff can create.

■IR Training "Super Introductory"

IR (Institutional Research) is an important activity that supports universities by collecting and analyzing data, but it is often thought that it is a difficult task that only specialists who are proficient in mathematics and statistics do. In this training, I would like to talk about how to think about IR "super" and "anyone can become an IRer".
If you are interested in IR, want to improve your daily work by using numbers and charts, or are not good at mathematics and statistics, let's study together.
