Business overview<\/h2>\n<p>The City of Kyoto and the University Consortium Kyoto are implementing the &#8220;Student-Community Collaboration Project,&#8221; which provides grants to support projects and initiatives that involve collaboration between universities, students, and local communities to contribute to urban development and regional revitalization in Kyoto. The project aims to provide students with practical learning opportunities <br \/>\nthrough activities that involve working together with local organizations to address local issues, as well as participating in and supporting the initiatives of local organizations. The <br \/>\nproject has been running since 2004, and this year marks its 23rd year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/page\/146903\/2026gakumachi_slider_leaflet.pdf\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/page\/146903\/2026gakumachi.webp\" alt=\"\" width=\"212\" height=\"300\" class=\"wp-image-134860\" size-medium=\"\"><\/a><br \/>\n<span class=\"fs10\">[Application Guidelines for the FY2026 &#8220;Student-Community Collaboration Project (Standard Category)&#8221;]<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pageLink02\">2. Target Organizations<\/h2>\n<p>Organizations and groups (*) whose members are students of universities and junior colleges affiliated with the Kyoto University Consortium, <u>where the majority of members are students and the representative is a student.<\/u> If the group consists of students from multiple universities, it is acceptable as long as the majority are students from universities and junior colleges affiliated with the Kyoto University Consortium. <br \/>\n*Examples include university departments, research labs, seminars, clubs, and student circles (circles composed of students from multiple universities are also acceptable).<\/p>\n<p>&lt;Important Notes&gt; <br \/>\nAs a general rule, only one project can be submitted by the same organization or group. If multiple applications are received, they may be treated as a single project and either selected or rejected. Furthermore, even if applications are submitted by different organizations or groups, if they appear to be the same project, we will make a decision on how to handle them after confirming the project&#8217;s purpose, collaborating organizations, and other necessary details. <br \/>\n*Please consult us if you are unsure about how to proceed. We will consider your application based on its specific content.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pageLink03\">3. Target projects<\/h2>\n<p>This program targets projects implemented within Kyoto City during the current fiscal year, with the aim of addressing local issues and revitalizing the area, provided they meet the following requirements. <br \/>\nHowever, projects aimed at political activities, religious activities, the dissemination of specific ideologies, violent or destructive activities, or profit-making businesses are excluded.<\/p>\n<p>[Requirements] <br \/>\n\u2460 Projects undertaken by <u>organizations\/groups<\/u> in collaboration with local communities (primarily resident organizations, citizen activity groups, businesses, etc., operating within the Kyoto City area), in which <strong>students take the lead in the activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>*New projects that are expected to involve collaboration with the local community in the future are also acceptable. <br \/>\nPlease consult with us if you have not yet decided on a specific partner at the time of application. <br \/>\n*Projects undertaken in collaboration include activities that work together with local organizations to address local issues, or activities that involve participating in and supporting the activities of local organizations. <br \/>\n*Government agencies may be included as partners, but collaboration with government agencies alone is not permitted. <br \/>\nExamples: Research and studies in various fields such as health and welfare, social education, community development, promotion of academics, culture, arts or sports, environmental conservation, and <br class=\"br-pc-only\">community safety, as well as public lectures and events.<\/p>\n<p>\u2461 Those who have not received grants or subsidies from Kyoto City other than the Gakumachi Collaboration Project.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pageLink04\">4. Amount of support and number of cases<\/h2>\n<p>Up to 300,000 yen \/ Approximately 15 cases<\/p>\n<p>*At the results presentation meeting scheduled for March 2027, the organization that is deemed to have the most outstanding project <br \/>\n(1 organization) will be awarded a certificate, trophy, and activity grant of 100,000 yen.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pageLink05\">5. Also, please listen to the opinions of local residents and relevant administrative agencies as much as possible regarding the background of the project and the needs of the community. If you have any questions about the district&#8217;s basic plan or points to keep in mind when conducting activities in the community, you can consult with the Community Empowerment Promotion Office at each ward office or branch office. <br \/>\nReconfirm and share your objectives and goals, and once again discuss within your group whether the project you are considering is the best way to achieve those objectives. Clearly state the objective and its necessity in the community. <br \/>\nGroups that gathered opinions from local residents and the ward office in Step 1 should also include that information.<\/p>\n<p>\u2605Who are the partners you are collaborating with (or plan to collaborate with)? What are their respective roles? Please write specifically. <br \/>\nThe Gaku-Machi Collaboration emphasizes the learning that can be gained by universities, students, and the community working together towards the same goal.
