<\/program>\n On Saturday, September 7 and Sunday, September 8, the University Consortium Kyoto held the “2013 FD Joint Training Program A for New Teachers.” We welcomed 23 participants from 8 universities and developed a program that blended lectures and workshops. This time, four participants who had already attended Program B in March were sent a certificate of completion.\n<\/p>\n - \n

<\/p>\n<\/program>\n On Saturday, March 8 and Sunday, March 9, the University Consortium Kyoto held the “2013 Joint Training Program \u226aProgram B\u226b for New Faculty FDs” with 17 participants from eight universities.<\/p>\n The purpose of this training program is to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for university teachers by attending the training program (A\/B), which is conducted twice a year (September and March) in accordance with the “Standards Framework for New Teachers” proposed by the National Institute for Educational Policy Research.<\/p>\n
On the first day of Program B, Mr. Tokunaga, Secretary General of the Foundation, gave a lecture on the theme of “Kyoto City of Universities and Universities” with the aim of promoting understanding of the university community, introducing the Foundation’s projects, and actively utilizing the Foundation’s programs in future education and research activities. After that, Ritsumeikan University
\n Professor Tomoko Torii, a professor at the Organization for the Promotion of Educational Development, gave a lecture on the basic knowledge of educational evaluation and the design and operation of appropriate grading methods under the theme of “Grading Methods and Standards for Grading,” followed by a workshop on how to evaluate grades and how to set standards for creating a syllabus.\n<\/p>\n- \n

<\/p>\n\n On the second day, prior to the afternoon classroom practice workshop, in which students conducted a mock class incorporating microteaching, a researcher at the Foundation, Mr. Kawakami, gave an explanation titled “Workshop for Lesson Design.” In this session, we introduced methods that are useful for lesson design, and designed a mock lesson using one of the methods, “Mandalat”.
In the afternoon, the students were divided into four groups, and each group spent 15 minutes each practicing the lesson they had designed in the morning, giving feedback to each other, and then presenting the best lesson for each group.<\/p>\nAt the end of the program, eight students who had already completed the \u226aProgram A\u226b held in September were presented with a “certificate of completion” of the newly appointed faculty FD joint training.\n<\/p>\n
