Business Overview<\/h2>\n
In light of the Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, which came into effect in April 2016, the University Consortium Kyoto is working on projects related to support for students with disabilities, which are in high demand from member universities. In light of the fact that there are few opportunities for high schools and special needs schools (hereinafter referred to as “high schools, etc.”) to connect with universities regarding support for students with disabilities, we will hold a roundtable discussion for the purpose of exchanging information and interacting with teachers of high schools and faculty and staff involved in supporting students with disabilities at universities.<\/p>\n

Outline of the event<\/h3>\n\n- 1. Purpose<\/dt>\n
- \nIn order to consider support for high school and university students with disabilities (consideration at the time of entrance examinations, study support, support system, etc.), we will provide topics from the perspective of special needs education on specific cases seen in high schools and universities, and then hold roundtable discussions for each group. We aim to make it a meaningful meeting for both sides, not only for high school teachers but also for university faculty and staff, as it will be an opportunity to learn about problems in high school support and career guidance, as well as requests for universities.\n<\/dd>\n
