Business Overview<\/h2>\n
In light of the Act on the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities, which came into effect in April 2016, the University Consortium Kyoto is working on projects related to support for students with disabilities, which are in high demand from member universities. In light of the fact that there are few opportunities for high schools and special needs schools (hereinafter referred to as “high schools, etc.”) to connect with universities regarding support for students with disabilities, we will hold a roundtable discussion for the purpose of exchanging information and interacting with teachers of high schools and faculty and staff involved in supporting students with disabilities at universities.<\/p>\n

Outline of the event<\/h3>\n\n- 1. Purpose<\/dt>\n
- \nFor high school teachers who are involved in the guidance and support of high school students with disabilities (physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, etc.), including education and career guidance, we will provide topics about the status of support provided at universities (consideration at the time of entrance examinations, study support, support systems on campus, etc.), and then hold a roundtable discussion by group. In addition, as a faculty member of the university, we aim to make it a meaningful meeting for both parties as an opportunity to learn about problems such as support and career guidance at high schools, etc., and requests for universities.\n<\/dd>\n
