The University Consortium Kyoto has continued this philosophy and has been hosting KSSK since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>KSSK consists of providing topics to learn about the current situation and issues of the university, and subcommittees conducted by small groups for each theme. In particular, in the breakout sessions, you can gain insights about supporting students with disabilities by asking the various concerns and questions that the person in charge has, as well as how to provide support, rather than taking the stance of getting some answers. This subcommittee will be an opportunity to discuss any concerns and issues of supporters, such as confusion, doubts, and unconsciousness about reasonable accommodations in daily responses, and to think about the perspective and role of a support person while sharing honest opinions.\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>B Coordinator Application (2~3 years or more)<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top:-25px;\" class=\"taRight\">Capacity: 10 people<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-top: #d1d1d1 dashed;\">\nIn order to consider and judge the content of reasonable accommodation, expertise such as knowledge and skills is required to conduct an assessment through dialogue, but depending on the case, it may be necessary to coordinate the way the evidence is provided and within the university (other departments and faculty members).<br \/>This subcommittee will have an opportunity to discuss difficult cases that have been readjusted, cases that have been confused, and difficulties in collaboration within the university based on a preliminary questionnaire, and to exchange opinions and information on how to deal with and countermeasure cases that cause problems or take time.\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>C Career support for students with disabilities (on-campus support and multidisciplinary collaboration)<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top:-25px;\" class=\"taRight\">Capacity: 20 people<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-top: #d1d1d1 dashed;\">\nCareer education and support for students with disabilities is just as important as academic support, but there are many difficult issues such as creating a support system on campus, collaborating with external support organizations and companies, approaching students from an early stage, and understanding themselves and their families.<br \/>The purpose of this subcommittee is to exchange information on case studies and issues at each university, as well as to share knowledge and information that can be incorporated into tomorrow&#8217;s work and practice, such as examples of collaboration with external resources (multi-disciplinary). We hope that not only those in charge of student support for students with disabilities, but also those in charge of career support departments, student counseling departments, etc., as well as other faculty and staff involved in student support and academic affairs, will participate.\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>D Consideration of support for students with developmental and mental disabilities<\/p>\n<div style=\"margin-top:-25px;\" class=\"taRight\">Capacity: 10 people<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"border-top: #d1d1d1 dashed;\">\nUniversities have many social barriers for students with mental and developmental disabilities, which may result in students being forced to study in unequal circumstances. However, in order to reduce students&#8217; learning difficulties and create a learning environment, it is often not enough to simply adjust the provision of reasonable accommodations. Therefore, it is necessary to collaborate with relevant departments and diverse resources inside and outside the university to build a more comprehensive and sustainable support system.<br \/>Therefore, this subcommittee hopes to exchange opinions from various perspectives on how to create an environment that is easy for students with mental and developmental disabilities to learn.
