This festival is planned and run primarily by the Kyoto Student Festival Executive Committee, an organization made up of Kyoto students, with support from Kyoto Prefecture, Kyoto City, economic organizations, universities, and the local community, making it a unique initiative nationwide. The <br \/>\n \u3000Executive Committee not only plans and runs the Kyoto Student Festival in October, but also actively engages in year-round exchange activities, including planning exchanges using the original dance created at the festival, &#8220;Kyoen Sodefure!&#8221;, and participating in local events. <br \/>\n \u3000In 2018, the 16th year, the theme was &#8220;Connecting Today,&#8221; International Exchange Projects<\/h3>\n<h4>Project Purpose<\/h4>\n<p>\u3000The Kyoto Student Festival&#8217;s internationalization efforts, which have been ongoing since the 13th festival, continued for the 16th festival. Hong Kong Lunar New Year International Night Parade<\/strong><\/p>\n<h4>Project purpose<\/h4>\n<p class=\"post\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.kyoto-gakuseisaiten.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Kyoto Student Festival <\/strong><\/a>\u3000<a href=\"http:\/\/www.kyoto-gakuseisaiten.com\/sodefure\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Kyoen Sodefure!<\/strong><\/a> wasinvited by<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.discoverhongkong.com\/jp\/index.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> the Hong Kong Tourism Board<\/a><\/strong><br \/> to represent Japan and<br \/>\n performed at the Lunar<strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.discoverhongkong.com\/eng\/see-do\/events-festivals\/highlight-events\/chinese-new-year-celebrations.jsp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> New Year International Night Parade<\/a><\/strong> (February 16th (Friday) 2018 (night parade) and February 17th (Saturday) (stage performance)) held in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong, where they performed Kyoen Sodefure! In addition to local Hong Kong groups, the parade also featured invited groups from overseas, including Kyoto Student Festival Kyoen Sodefure!, French cabaret music and dance, and a Dutch street circus.<br \/>\n \u3000This time, Kyoen Sodefure! The performance is a special version of the &#8220;Kyoen Sodefure! Special Version&#8221; that is shown at the Grand Finale of the Kyoto Student Festival, which is held every October in the area around Heian Shrine and Okazaki Promenade. As part of the <br \/>\n Kyoto Student Festival Organizing Committee, our foundation not only supports the Kyoto Student Festival, but also views the year&#8217;s activities as an opportunity for student growth and provides year-round support. Visitor surveys indicated that year-round efforts did not necessarily lead to a direct increase in attendance. However, we believe that the experience gained over the past year has led to increased student confidence and learning. As we approach the 17th festival, we will continue to develop a system to support the executive committee.
