The number of applicants was 99, an increase from last year (75 groups), and while many of the entries were from universities that were participating for the first time and humanities faculties such as the Faculty of Policy Studies, there were also entries from science faculties. On the day of the competition, the 72 groups that passed the screening were divided into nine breakout groups and presented their research on a wide range of themes related to urban policy, followed by a question-and-answer session between the two judges and other presenters.<br \/> The presentation was live-streamed on YouTube and was viewed not only by students, but also by a variety of people, including university officials, government officials, and business people.<br \/> After the presentations, the student executive committee conducted a student project. As a place for interaction across universities and faculties, we held a feedback exchange meeting where presenters shared questions and impressions about the content of their presentations, and a talk session to discuss university life during the coronavirus pandemic using SNS. The announcement of the winners was held via Zoom webinar after the student project, and the joy of the winners was something that touched the hearts of the winners on the screen, indicating that this presentations of the 16th Annual Research Encouragement Award.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"pageLink09\">Policy Advisory Panel<\/h2>\n<p>  On Friday, March 4, 2022, Mr.\/Ms. from Kyoto Women&#8217;s University&#8217;s &#8220;Connecting Kyoto&#8221; project, which is the recipient of the Kyoto Consortium President&#8217;s Award, and the Mr.\/Ms. of the Noda Seminar Group A of the Faculty of Policy Studies, Doshisha University, which is the recipient of the Japan Society for Public Policy Award, made a presentation to the departments of administrative agencies related to the content of the presentations and held a policy proposal roundtable to exchange opinions.<br \/>  We received comments from government officials, such as talking about the government&#8217;s attempts and challenges, giving advice on how to further brush up on the content of the research, and &#8220;I would like all students to participate in the Mr.\/Ms. in various situations.&#8221;<br \/>  The students commented that they learned a lot and that they would like to engage in research activities even more, indicating that it was an opportunity to deepen their future efforts and research content, as
