In addition, prices are very cheap, and even now, when the yen is depreciating, it is very cheap, 1/3 of Japan, and you can enjoy breakfast and dinner within 300 yen to 500 yen at local hawkers. In addition, there are three main ethnic groups living in Malaysia: Malay, Chinese, and Indian, but the people are very friendly and many are pro-Japanese, so you can stay with peace of mind. English is used as a semi-official language after Malay, and since Penang is visited by tourists from all over the world, English is spoken in most public places, including convenience stores and supermarkets. The climate in Penang is very mild, with temperatures around 25 degrees Celsius in the morning and 30 degrees Celsius in the afternoon, and the period from November to March is a time when rainfall is low. Although it is during Ramadan, you can also enjoy the Ramadan Bazaar, which is only held at this time, and it is the best time to visit.

【Details】

Date and Time

March 4th (Wed) to March 12th (Thu), 2026 (8 nights, 9 days) Departing from Kansai International Airport with Cathay Pacific Airways

cost

310,000 to 350,000 yen (including local accommodation, training costs, airfare, and airport taxes) *Fuel surcharge excluded
*The fuel surcharge (currently 20,000 yen as of September) is subject to change, so the price will be finalized around early January and the remaining balance will be paid.

Training location

University of Science Malaysia (USM), CEMACS (Centre for Marine Sciences), etc.

Accommodation

U Hotel (planned) 3-star hotel (2 people per room) *Separate for men and women (8 minutes walk from the university)

subject

Students enrolled at member universities of the University Consortium Kyoto (including international students), undergraduate, junior college, and graduate students

Minimum number of participants

10 people (including 2 leaders) *The tour will not be held if there are 7 or fewer people

Recruitment quota

<del>4 people *First come, first served</del>

Deadline

Friday, October 31, 2025, noon

How to apply

Please apply by clicking the [Apply] button above.
