On the day of the event

Before the show started

On the day, many customers were seated all the way up to the second floor, and many of the students who were the target audience for this event also attended.

When the event began, the performers appeared on stage and engaged in some free talk as an opening act.

Afterwards, each comedy duo performed their material, with the audience erupting in laughter throughout.

After enjoying the material, the event will be followed by a segment planned by members of the Kyoto Student Public Relations Club, where university students will have a consultation session and an introduction to student groups in Kyoto.

At the consultation session, problems that had been submitted in advance by the public were taken up, with public relations staff acting as judges and the comedians being asked to think of ways to solve them.

The event featured a variety of interesting advice and the opportunity to hear stories from the comedians’ school days.

Advice sessions for university students

After the consultation session, we moved on to a section introducing unique student groups in Kyoto.

The following five groups were featured in this event:

 ・Kyoto Kabaddi Circle Kamodi

・Kansai Intercollegiate “Quidditch” Circle KYOTO LILA C FOXES

・Ritsumeikan Double Dutch Club dig up treasure

 ・Kyoto University Mölkky Circle Ankka

 ・Doshisha Hero Show Club

After each group introduced themselves, the comedians had the opportunity to experience their activities together.

There were some sports that we don’t usually get to see, and the audience seemed to be cheering on the performers and enjoying the excitement together.

In the hero show, there was an unexpected twist when the comedian playing the villain defeated the hero, and the entire venue was filled with laughter.

This was our first collaborative event with Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu in five years, and thanks to everyone at Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu, the comedians, and the student groups, it was a huge success.

In the event survey, we received a lot of positive feedback, such as “The content was substantial” and “It was an event that students could easily participate in, so I hope they hold more of these events.”

For the PR club members involved in this event, being able to bring something they had planned to life in this way seemed to help them grow and gain confidence, and it was a great learning opportunity for the Kyoto Student PR Club as well.

The official website of the Kyoto Student Public Relations Club, “Kotokare”, has also published an event report article written by members of the club, so please be sure to take a look.
