Common Library Browsing System

overview

The common viewing system is a system that allows you to mainly view materials held by the libraries of member universities and junior colleges of University Consortium Kyoto by simply presenting your ID card (student ID card, faculty ID card, etc.) .
*Please note that some university/junior college libraries do not participate.

The purpose of the common reading system is to revitalize education and research and improve user services by taking advantage of the number of books and characteristics of each participating university and junior college library. A number of consortium-type common viewing systems have already been implemented in other regions, and the mutual use of the systems through simple procedures has been highly praised by users.
Please note that the terms of use (start date of operation, method of use, hours of operation, services provided, etc.) differ depending on each university library, so please be sure to check the Universities Consortium Kyoto Public Interest Incorporated Public Interest Incorporated Public Interest Foundation Please be sure to check the “Usage Guide” in the “List of Participating University/Junior College Libraries” system. The outline was compiled in May 2005, and the idea of starting a common viewing system was proposed and approved at the Board of Directors/Council meeting held on October 22 of the same year.
