On Saturday, November 22, the University Consortium Kyoto 20th Anniversary Commemorative Lecture (held at the same time as Kyoto FD Executive School) will be held!

On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Foundation, the Consortium of Universities Kyoto has decided to expand the scope of the Kyoto FD Executive School, which is held every year for university executives, and to hold a grand lecture to commemorate the 20th anniversary.

In recent years, the role of university executives has become increasingly important in improving the systematic education of universities, and we hope that you will participate in this commemorative lecture as an opportunity for not only university executives but also those who are not usually directly involved in university management to learn about the situation surrounding the university.

Te Ma "Toward the Creation of Human Resources with the Power to Open Up the Future ~The Next 20 Years in which Universities and High Schools Challenge Together~"
Lecturer Takayuki
Shiose (Former Assistant Director, Industrial Technology Policy Division, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, Associate Professor for History of Technology, Kyoto University Museum)
Overview In an era of human resource mobility where it is no longer the norm to work for 40 years, the power required of human resources has changed significantly. The ability to simply memorize and accurately reproduce the wisdom of our ancestors is no longer valid. In such a society where the answer is not known in the first place, and where the relationship between value and worthlessness is unstable and can change immediately, it is the attitude toward "uncertainty" that is important. Human resources who can identify their strengths and weaknesses in response to changes in value and continue to relearn are required.

In order to continue to support Japan, which is transitioning from a period of high economic growth to a period of maturity, we must first recognize that Japan is positioned as one of 7 billion people with diverse cultures and values, which is clearly different from the era when only a few countries in Japan, the United States, and Europe led the way. The responsibility of university-high school collaboration, which is entrusted with the multi-sensory seven years of 16 to 22 years old, is to produce human resources who can accept the diversity of human resources, cultures, and values that are truly necessary in this context, and who can face unexplored social issues and turn the power of diverse specialists into breakthroughs.
