Criteria for suspending the “University Relay Course” in the event of an alert or suspension of service

In the event of the issuance of a storm warning, special warning, or warning positioned as a special warning, or in the event of a suspension of transportation due to a disaster or strike, or notwithstanding the above, if the Director of the Education Division of the University Consortium Kyoto determines that it is difficult to conduct the course, the course will be suspended as follows in accordance with the “Handling Standards for Suspension of Classes and Examinations in Plaza Courses”.

1. Suspension Criteria for Courses
1) If any of the following (1), (2), or (3) apply on the day of the course, the course will be suspended in accordance with the criteria indicated in [Judgment Criteria and Response] below. Please check the status of the issuance and cancellation of warnings and the operation status of public transportation on TV and radio media outlets or the website of the Japan Meteorological Agency.
(1) Issuance of Warnings
When a special warning, a warning positioned as a special warning, or a storm warning is issued in the southern part of Kyoto Prefecture or the Kyoto-Kameoka area (secondary subdivision area).
(2) Suspension of transportation
 When two or more of the following (1) ~ (5) transportation systems are completely or partially suspended or suspended at the same time.
(1) Kyoto City Bus and Kyoto Municipal Subway (all routes)
(2) JR (conventional line to and from Kyoto Station)
(3) Keihan Railway (between Demachi Yanagi ~ Yodoyabashi or Nakanoshima)
(4) Hankyu Train (Kawaramachi ~ Umeda)
(5) Kintetsu train (between Kyoto ~ Yamato Seidaiji)

Regardless of the above criteria, when the Director of the Education Division of the University Consortium Kyoto determines that it is difficult to conduct the course.

  ○ After 10:30 a.m., if there is an order or suspension of service, the “University Relay Course” from the afternoon will be suspended.
* In addition, if an order is issued or the operation is suspended during the course, in principle, the course will not be suspended.

2) If the Director of the Education Division of the University Consortium Kyoto determines that it is difficult to conduct the course on the day before or two days before the course, the course will be suspended in advance.

2. Announcement of suspension of the course
The announcement will be made in the “Important Notices” section of the University Consortium Kyoto website (https://www.consortium.or.jp/).

3. Measures to be taken after the suspension of the course
Whether or not a transfer date will be set due to the suspension of the course will be announced on the University Consortium Kyoto website and the bulletin board on the 1st floor of Campus Plaza Kyoto, etc., after adjusting at a later date.

For reservations for use of Campus Plaza Kyoto that meet the following reservation conditions, if you are forced to cancel your reservation due to the influence of the new coronavirus infection, you may be able to receive a full refund of the usage fee or usage fee that has already been paid (if you have not paid it, you will not be asked to pay it).

Extension of the opening period of the study space at Campus Plaza Kyoto

In order to support students’ learning, Kyoto City and the University Consortium Kyoto have collaborated to open a learning space equipped with a Wi-Fi environment and other facilities at Kyoto City University’s Town Exchange Center (nickname: Campus Plaza Kyoto) from June 9 to August 31, Reiwa 2 as part of the “Project for Creating an Environment for Student Learning.”

We would like to inform you that we will be extending the opening period of the learning space after reviewing some operations.

Please note that the following changes will be made after September 1st.

・The location is Campus Plaza Kyoto 6th floor, 6th Lecture Room, and 20 seats are available per section.

・The time zone of the usage classification will change.

Morning (9:00~12:40), Afternoon (13:00~17:40), Evening (18:00~21:00)

・Laptops are not available for rent. (Printers are available)

・ The management staff will not be stationed in the rental room at all times, but will patrol each time. As a general rule, please use it at the user’s own management.

Opening of Student Study Space and Recruitment of Student Staff at Campus Plaza Kyoto
