2021 KISFVF

About us

 The Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival is the largest international student film festival in Japan. It is entirely organized and run by university students in Kyoto. We receive student’s works from all over the world, and provide an opportunity to screen, and discover new talent.
Kyoto is the birthplace of Japanese movies and is also known as students’city. The festival strings these two characteristics together, and also offers forum for cultural and international exchange and ultimately vitalizes Kyoto.

However, life at home wasn`t relaxing as she was expecting and ends up fighting with her mother Shizue over differences in opinion. Yukari is an adult she didn't want to be selfish, so she quickly makes up with Shizue after their quarrel, but the problems between them never seems to go away…

≪Synopsis≫"A fish's eye cannot see the water, a man's eye cannot see the sky." (the water for fish and the sky for human beings are both something indispensable, but we are apt to forget about their existence and we don't definitely see them.) we can't see its existence because it's too close.
Reina is unable to show her true feelings because she covers herself as an honor student. Umi who is bohemian person has repeated meetings with her teacher.
Rakuto keeps turning the shutter on his childhood friend who doesn't look back. Osamu secretly hopes for the happiness of his beloved. Akari throws her scorching gaze of love.
This is the teenage ensemble cast story of girls’who have weaknesses and live in a world like a small aquarium. We are still unable to love our weaknesses well.
