We are now accepting applications for “Risk Management for Disaster Prevention and Mitigation – Turning Our Preparedness into the Power to Protect Your Community.”
In this era of frequent disasters, we are required not only to prevent damage through “disaster prevention” but also to have perspectives such as “disaster reduction” and “resilience” to minimize damage. This program aims not only to learn disaster prevention and mitigation as knowledge but also to cultivate the ability to practice it as part of one’s own life, workplace, and community issues. Taking into account increasingly complex social issues such as ultra-low birthrate and aging population, population decline, multicultural coexistence, and information confusion, the goal is to develop knowledge, judgment, and communication skills that enable autonomous judgment and action, rather than waiting for “someone to help you” during disasters, and to support others and the community. In diverse situations such as home, community, workplace, and travel, we aim to acquire concrete wisdom and action to “help ourselves and help others,” aiming to build sustainable and resilient local communities.
