Regarding the Practical Exchange Meeting on Transition Support for Students with Disabilities (October 24, 2026) [Hybrid Event]

As part of the 2026 University Consortium Kyoto Joint Research Project, we will hold the “Practical Exchange Meeting on Transition Support for Students with Disabilities.”


This time’s theme is:

“Connecting the Learning and Careers of Diverse Students” — Self-Understanding and Decision-Making to Support the Transition to High School, University, and Society —

Are.

What kind of support is necessary for students with disabilities to understand themselves, choose their own paths, and move on to the next stage?
We hope to provide opportunities for high schools, universities, and support organizations to share practices and challenges from their respective perspectives regarding transitional support, including career guidance, collaboration with related organizations, self-advocacy, and information sharing and handover from high schools to universities. On the day, we will invite two lecturers from the National Institute for Special Needs Education.

After the lecture, Mr. Yoji Ota (Kyoto Notre Dame Women’s University) served as facilitator,
“How to Support the Transition to High School, University, and Society — Connecting Practical Practices and Challenges on the Ground —”
We will hold a comprehensive discussion and exchange of opinions on this theme.

Date and Time: October 24, 2026 (Sat) 14:00~17:00 (Doors open at 13:30)
Venue: Doshisha University, Imadegawa Campus, Ryoshinkan Room 305
/Hybrid online event
Participation Fee: Free
Capacity: 100 people in-person (no limit for online participation)
Additionally, after the event ends, from 17:30~19:00, we will hold an information exchange session for those who wish to participate.
We hope instructors and participants are free to exchange information about their daily practices and challenges.

Participation fee: 5,000 yen (tax included)
