Call for Participants for the 21st Kyoto High School and University Faculty and Staff Exchange Meeting

The 21st Kyoto High School and University Faculty and Staff Exchange Meeting

What is inquiry-based learning that the whole school is working on?
~The connection between “time for comprehensive inquiry” and “inquiry in the subject” creates deep learning for students and the growth of teachers~

How does inquiry-based learning, including “time for comprehensive inquiry,” affect learning from high school to university? From the perspective of high school-university connections, how should inquiry-based learning be designed? Also, how should we think about the back and forth between the time of inquiry and comprehensive inquiry in the subject? In addition, not only high school teachers but also university faculty and staff will interact and exchange opinions on what the role of high school teachers should be.

How to link the time of comprehensive inquiry with subject learning and realize independent learning of students is a common issue in many workplaces. In this program, two high school teachers who have been working on these issues will introduce practical examples and share perspectives for fostering inquiry-based learning throughout the school. This will be an opportunity for high school and university faculty and staff to think together about how the quality of learning is enhanced by connecting “inquiry-based learning in subjects” with “time for comprehensive inquiry,” and how teachers’ own learning and collaboration support it, including from the perspective of teachers’ own step-up.

We look forward to your active participation.

If you have any questions about the basic plan of the ward or points to keep in mind when working in the community, you can also consult with the Regional Power Promotion Office of each ward office or branch.
In addition to reconfirming and sharing your objectives and achievement goals, let’s discuss and think once again within the group whether the business content you are thinking about is the best way to achieve your objectives.
