Kyoto Student Public Relations Department presents Gion Kagetsu University ~ Autumn Open Campus" will be held!

The Kyoto Student Public Relations Department, a collaborative project between the University Consortium Kyoto and Kyoto City,
and Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu will collaborate to hold a student-planned event called "Kyoto Student Public Relations Department presents Gion Kagetsu University" on Friday, November 22.
The venue, Gion Kagetsu, is set as the university's "classroom" and the audience is set as "high school students", and through stories by performing comedians and corners where comedians experience and practice students' "ima", we will convey the unique charm of "Kyoto City of University and Kyoto City of Students" to young people who love comedy nationwide!

In addition, from mid-November to early December, the lobby of Yoshimoto Gion Kagetsu exhibits paintings on the themes of "Kyoto" and "Comedy" by art clubs of each university, introduces the activities of student organizations that engage in community collaboration activities that contribute to the SDGs, and raises awareness of the SDGs.

The Kyoto Student Public Relations Department was active as an official PR internship for "ICOM Kyoto 2019 (International Congress of Museums in Kyoto)"!

 

 The Kyoto Student Public Relations Department was appointed as a PR intern to provide real-time information about the ICOM Kyoto 2019 (International Congress of Museums in Kyoto) held from September 1.

 It is a great honor to participate in a large-scale international conference with more than 3,000 participants from 138 countries and regions around the world. Ten students will make use of their past reporting experience to report on the tournament from the perspective of students.

The Kyoto Student Public Relations Department disseminates the "real charm of Kyoto" that university students studying in Kyoto experience while living their student lives to junior and senior high school students nationwide from a student's perspective. Students planned, interviewed, and wrote articles about the appeal of university life in Kyoto on a daily basis through the dedicated website "Kotokare", dedicated facebook, Twitter, Instagram, events, etc.

In order to recruit new members for the Kyoto Student Public Relations Department, we will hold the following new member recruitment event. If you are interested in the activities, please register in advance to participate. On the day of each event, existing members will follow up. Please feel free to join us.

of establishment Kyoto City is home to 38 universities and junior colleges, and about 150,000 students, which is 10% of the population, are "a university town and a city of students". However, as the 18-year-old population declines over the long term and competition among universities is expected to intensify, it is necessary to actively communicate the appeal of Kyoto as a "university city and a city of students" to junior high and high school students who will become university students in the future.
Therefore, as a new initiative from the 27th academic year in collaboration between Kyoto City and the University Consortium Kyoto, we have established the "Kyoto Student Public Relations Department" to convey to junior high and high school students nationwide the "real charm of Kyoto" that university students studying in Kyoto experience while living their student lives.

Members of the Kyoto Student Public Relations Department will sell 500 limited meals of "Koto Curry," a curry made with ingredients from Kyoto, at the main festival of the Kyoto Student Festival on Sunday, October 9.

What is Ancient Town Curry?

It was named after the fact that it is a curry made with ingredients from Kyoto (ancient capital) and the word play on the name of the website "Kotokare" operated by the Kyoto Student Public Relations Department.
The curry recipe was developed with the cooperation of Associate Professor Emiko Yoshino of the Department of Food and Nutrition, Faculty of Home Economics, Kyoto Women's University.
It is a curry made with Kyoto ingredients such as Fushimi chili pepper, Kyoto ginseng, and white miso as a secret flavor. The spiciness is moderate, and the taste is finished so that even junior high and high school students will like it.
