FY2022

Business Overview

Taking advantage of the agreement with the University Partnership in Victoria, Australia, we aim to improve the international competitiveness of higher education in the Kyoto region and to guarantee and improve the quality of education. In order to make it easier for university students in the Kyoto area to engage in international exchange beyond the boundaries of universities, we are developing a study abroad program that utilizes credit transfer programs.

Program Introduction

At the affiliated English schools of four universities in Victoria, Australia, you will participate in government-approved “Government-Accredited English Courses for International Students (ELICOS)” and study English intensively for four weeks alongside students from around the world. Each class is small, with an average of about 15 students, and students are assigned to classes based on their English proficiency based on the results of the pre-test. (About 1-90% of Japanese students per class.) Students who wish can participate in optional buddy programs that allow interaction with local students, full-scale volunteer activities, and weekend excursions to the suburbs, allowing them to deepen their understanding of Australian culture and society not only through English learning but also through homestays and extracurricular activities.

Melbourne was named the “World’s Most Livable City” for seven consecutive years until 2017. Why not experience diverse cultures in a city said to be the most beautiful in the world, attracting the second largest number of students after London, New York, and Paris?
Australia has a tradition of practicing English education for immigrants and international students from various countries and regions, and its professional and excellent English education is globally recognized.
