This year’s first session will be held under the theme of “Mental Health” as follows.

Part 1: Lightening Tomorrow’s Selves: How to Prepare Your Mind for University Faculty and Staff and How to Deal with Gen Z
As the environment surrounding universities becomes increasingly severe, the number of faculty and staff members who are under stress is increasing. The purpose of this workshop is to help university faculty and staff learn the way of thinking and practical approaches to transform their daily lives into positives in order to effectively maintain and improve their own mental health. The health and well-being of the faculty and staff themselves will lead to the understanding and support of students living in an unstable era exposed to information on a daily basis, and will lead to the improvement of the quality of the education and research environment of the university as a whole. One of the speakers will share the basic concepts of self-compassion and how to reduce self-criticism and achieve a healthier mindset. In addition, the other speaker, from the standpoint of a certified psychologist and industrial counselor, will teach us what students are thinking these days, how to deal with them and how to keep a distance from them through actual examples.
* We will accept the contents of the consultation in advance. On the day of the event, we will introduce you in a form that does not allow you to identify individuals.

【For university staff】2025 SD Seminar “Open Seminar” is now accepting applications!

Since 2015, the University Consortium Kyoto has been conducting SD seminars as part of university staff training. This training program aims to develop staff who will autonomously and proactively take charge of the future university management of each university and junior college, mainly member schools, and provides a curriculum that allows students to systematically acquire the knowledge necessary for university staff.

In recent years, we have heard that many staff members are considering participating in the SD seminar but are hesitant to participate. Therefore, in order to make learning in the SD seminar widely known, we have decided to open some of the programs as “open seminars”.

If you are considering taking the SD Seminar, or if you are in charge of human resources or training to send out students, please feel free to join us.

“The Forefront of Marketing ~Capturing the Hearts of High School Students and New Students~”
Registration is now open.

We are accepting applications for participation in “Marketing Forefront ~Capturing the Hearts of High School Students and New Students~”.

With the declining birthrate, the environment surrounding university student recruitment (entrance examination publicity) is only becoming more severe. From the perspective of private school management, there is an emphasis on marketing, which is how to build a system that captures the trends of the times and makes people want to apply, instead of the conventional recruitment publicity that disseminates information widely, and there is a need for governance and organizational development that can implement it. In the Kansai region, there is an active movement to relocate campuses to be closer to stations on major railway lines in order to secure a wider range of schools, and to actively expand and reorganize faculties to meet the wide range of needs of high school students. These are measures for survival, but at the root of the project should be the future vision of the university that we want to aim for, or in other words, the guidelines for branding the university.
In this training, we hope that the idea of marketing and branding will be organized from the perspective of university public relations, and that it will be an opportunity to review whether the efforts at your university are really marketing or whether they are systematic and continuous efforts as part of branding.

If you have any questions about the basic plan of the ward or points to keep in mind when working in the community, you can also consult with the Regional Power Promotion Office of each ward office or branch.
In addition to reconfirming and sharing your objectives and achievement goals, let’s discuss and think once again within the group whether the business content you are thinking about is the best way to achieve your objectives. In addition, for continuing projects, let’s thoroughly summarize the efforts made so far and organize the points for improvement and novelty so that they can be reflected in the application form.

Step 2 Let’s write an application!
