| Workshop Details | Participants take on the role of ‘faculty and staff at a fictional university (members of the Academic Management Committee),’ and are divided into roles such as assistant to the president, entrance exams, academic affairs, IR, and public relations, experiencing hands-on group work. First, we interpreted the dashboard submitted by the IR Office and examined from multiple angles whether the university’s assessment policies and the desired student profile were “supported by data” and “did not diverge from reality.” Furthermore, based on these results, we design improvement measures starting from entrance exams, open campus programs, and pre-enrollment education, along with “effectiveness measurement indicators” as a set. Because it’s a fictional university, the real appeal is that you can freely make retorts beyond your position. However, the challenges hidden within these are surely familiar landscapes even at our own universities. Not only will you enjoy the ‘verification perspective’ available at your university starting tomorrow, but the set of fictional data used in training can also be used directly in your own FD/SD training.
