Implementation Report

The 13th

On Saturday, July 9, the first Kyoto High School Teacher Exchange Meeting was held in 2022. The event was held online and hybrid, and a total of 24 people (10 at the venue, 14 online) participated, including high school teachers from inside and outside Kyoto Prefecture.
The theme was "What is the role of teachers in the time of comprehensive inquiry: How does inquiry change one's identity as a teacher?", and Professor Satoshi Tatanoh, a teacher at Miyazu Gakusha at Kyoto Prefectural Miyazu Amanohashi High School, reported on the case. Through the Q&A session and the exchange of opinions, the participants were able to deepen their exchanges with each other and case reporters.

14th Seminar

On Saturday, October 15, the 13th Kyoto High School Teacher Exchange Meeting was held in a hybrid format as the second round, inviting different case presenters. This time, in addition to high school teachers, university faculty and staff, people from companies and education, etc. gathered, and a total of 13 people (7 at the venue, 6 online) were able to create a place for interaction and exchange of opinions. Kyoto Municipal Horikawa High School teacher Nao Takada reported on Horikawa High School's exploratory activities as an example, and through the Q&A session and group work from the participants, it was an opportunity to learn about and deepen awareness of how exploration brings not only to students but also to teachers.

15th Seminar

On Saturday, December 17, the first meeting was held in a hybrid format under the theme of "How do students who have experienced exploration grow at university?"
Although the participants were small, 6 at the venue and 2 online, there were also student participants at the venue in addition to the 3 students who had experienced investigating case reports, so the participants were highly satisfied with the diverse exchanges that transcended the standpoints of high school, university faculty, and university students. In addition, being able to listen to the voices of university students was also a reference for faculty and staff in thinking about the design and role of inquiry-based learning in the future.

16th Seminar

On Saturday, February 4, a hybrid exchange meeting was held by four students with different case reports on the same theme as the 15th meeting. A total of 17 people participated, including high school and university faculty from inside and outside Kyoto Prefecture, 5 people at the venue, and 12 online.
After case reports by four students who had experience in the inquiry, they were able to deepen their learning and awareness of the results of the inquiry by asking questions to the presenting students in the group work at the venue and online. Although the number of participants at the venue was small, it was an opportunity for casual interaction through business card exchange and dialogue, such as after the event ended and after the event.
