FY2021

Due to the impact of the new coronavirus infection, we have decided to cancel the SD seminar in FY2021 as well.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Overview of the business

The environment surrounding universities is changing drastically, such as the further decline in the 18-year-old population, the arrival of the era of 100-year lifespans, Society 5.0 due to the sophistication of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and the progress of globalization. University staff are required to have the ability to steer accurately with an eye on the next generation, to accurately analyze changes in the environment and the needs of society, and to reflect them in organizational decision-making and the promotion of education and research, which is a social mission.
In the "Promotion of University Governance Reform" (2014 Summary of Deliberations of the University Subcommittee of the Central Council of Education), "Realization of Teacher-Professional Collaboration by Upgrading Administrative Staff" was mentioned, and administrative staff participated in university management through "teacher-professional collaboration" on an equal footing with faculty members. To this end, he points out the importance of improving planning, communication, and language skills in a more organized and systematic manner.
In addition, in the "Grand Design for Higher Education toward 2040 (Report)" (2018 Central Council of Education), the role of universities in maintaining and developing the region as a whole and regional revitalization is important as "the relationship between higher education and society with an eye on 2040." It is also expected to serve as a base for promoting international exchange in the region and responding to internationalization.
This SD seminar has been held since 2015 and is looking for students for the 6th term. By attending a total of eight lectures, presenting public presentations, and writing completion reports, we aim to support the development of university staff who will autonomously and independently take on the future management of the university.

It has been canceled in FY2021.
