Implementation Report:

This training was held for young researchers and graduate students attempting their first application for Grants-in-Grants, as well as faculty and staff who wish to reorganize their fundamentals. Lecturers were invited as lecturers from the social sciences field to Professor Yoshinori Sato and Professor Tetsuro Mimura from the natural sciences field, providing practical lectures on the judges’ perspectives and specific points for acceptance through real-world examples. During the Q session, topics such as how to appeal to judges outside their specialties, the definition of internationality, and expectations for administrative departments were discussed. The message shared by both instructors was that “continuing to provide Grants-in-Aid for Scientific Research is meaningful.” Even if you receive a rejection notice, by calmly analyzing the disclosed information of the screening results and continuing to refine them, your chances of acceptance will definitely increase. The process of writing the application itself was concluded as a valuable opportunity to objectively review my research and understand my current situation.
