Nighttime closure of Campus Plaza Kyoto due to “Priority Measures to Prevent the Spread of Disease” (Updated on 4/12)

From Kyoto Prefecture “Priority measures to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection in Kyoto Prefecture”
In light of the fact that the order was issued, Campus Plaza Kyoto
From Monday, April 12, 2021 to Wednesday, May 5, 2021, rental rooms will be suspended
after 8 p.m
.
*Campus Plaza Kyoto will be closed on Monday, April 12, so it will be available from Tuesday, April 13.
In addition, rental rooms set in the night category (18:00 ~ 21:30) can be used until 20 o’clock, but
the full night category fee will be charged.

Use of the “Kyoto City Wakamono Employment Support Center” and “The Open University of Japan Kyoto Learning Center” in this facility
Please check with each facility for details.


[Refund of usage fee when canceling a reservation during closed hours]
1. Eligibility ⓵
During the “Priority Measures to Prevent the Spread of Disease” period (4/12~5/5),
  
when canceling a reservation for use in a usage category that includes facility closure hours
* Except in cases where it is possible to respond without cancellation, such as changing the date of use or postponing it.

the reservation has been made as of April 12, 2021 (Monday)     * However, Kyoto Prefecture has announced
a request for designation of priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease April 9, 2021 (Friday) ~ April 11, 2021 (Sunday) 2
. Handling of usage fees or usage fees when all the conditions of 1 above are satisfied
If the usage fee or usage fee for a public facility has already been paid, the full amount will be refunded.
In addition, if you have not paid, we will not ask for delivery.
3. Cancellation Period
  If the priority measures to prevent the spread of the disease are lifted in the middle of the period, a full refund will be provided at that time.
We will no longer accept cancellations.

Refunds will not be issued if the facility is used during non-closed hours.

A total of six half-day training sessions will be held to learn English expressions about Kyoto’s tourist attractions and the traditional culture of Kyoto and Japan.

1. Saturday, May 29, 2021 :(1) Ice Break, Introduction to Japan and Kyoto ~Learn about Japan and Kyoto in English~
(2) Learn expressions that explain traditional Japan culture in English
2. Saturday, June 5, 2021: Traditional culture (1) Hands-on experience of the tea ceremony
3. Saturday, June 12, 2021: Traditional Culture (2) Hands-on experience with flower arrangement
4. Saturday, June 19, 2021: Garden tour (無鄰菴)
5. Saturday, July 3, 2021: Learn about Kyoto’s famous places, events, food, clothing, housing, education, etc. in Japan and Kyoto.

◎ Eligibility
: All of the following conditions must be met.
1. Be a student at a member university or junior college of the University Consortium Kyoto
(It does not matter what course you are enrolled in (undergraduate, master’s, or doctoral program))
2. Ability to participate in all training sessions
3. Your English score must be one of the following:
IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL iBT 63 / TOEIC 650 or higher
4. Interested in international exchange and cross-cultural understanding

◎ Capacity: about 20 people
◎ Fee: 5,000 yen (total amount for all 6 sessions, including reference materials and actual expenses for exercises)
* Please pay in cash (as little change as possible) on Saturday, May 29 for the first time.
* Please bear the transportation and other expenses related to the course.
◎ Application period: April 9, 2021 (Friday) ~ April 30, 2021 (Friday) 12:00〆 
* If there are a large number of applicants, we will notify you by e-mail by Saturday, May 1 after a lottery.

【Report】The 18th High School-University Collaborative Education Forum Report is now available.

 
On Saturday, December 5 and Sunday, December 6, 2020, we have completed the report collection of the 18th Forum on Collaborative Education between High School and University, “Entrance Examination Reform as a ‘Connection of Education’ II.~Changing the Guidance and Evaluation of High School Education: How High Schools and Universities Approach Entrance Examinations and Education~“. To everyone who uses Campus Plaza Kyoto (request) 4/12 update

From the viewpoint of preventing the spread of new coronavirus infection, we ask for your cooperation in the following points when using Campus Plaza Kyoto.

・Please wear a mask when entering the building and disinfect your hands with the disinfectant installed at the entrance.
* If you do not wear a mask, you will not be allowed to enter the building in principle.

・If you have a fever (37.5 degrees Celsius or higher or 1 degree above the normal temperature ratio), or if you have symptoms such as cough, sore throat, sluggishness, or difficulty breathing, do not enter the building.

・Please keep the seating distance between seats in the rental room at least 2m (at least 1m) as much as possible. Also, please make sure that people do not stay before or after the usage time.

・Bring a handkerchief or hand towel, and wipe your hands thoroughly after using the restroom.

・Please refrain from talking in the elevator or in the lobby in front of the elevator. You can also use the stairs.

Termination of shortened opening hours due to the early lifting of the state of emergency declaration

With the lifting of the Kyoto Prefectural Emergency Measures on February 28, 2021, We would like to inform you that Campus Plaza Kyoto will resume normal business from Tuesday, March 2nd. In addition, it was assumed that the full refund stated in the notice dated February 5 would be refunded
Cancellations will be accepted by the end of February 28.
