【For university staff】2025 SD Seminar “Open Seminar” is now accepting applications!

Since 2015, the University Consortium Kyoto has been conducting SD seminars as part of university staff training. This training program aims to develop staff who will autonomously and proactively take charge of the future university management of each university and junior college, mainly member schools, and provides a curriculum that allows students to systematically acquire the knowledge necessary for university staff.

In recent years, we have heard that many staff members are considering participating in the SD seminar but are hesitant to participate. Therefore, in order to make learning in the SD seminar widely known, we have decided to open some of the programs as “open seminars”.

[Recruitment of host companies! ] 2026 Internship Work Experience Program for International Students

The International Student Study Kyoto Network (Secretariat: University Consortium Kyoto International Affairs Department) offers an internship and work experience program for international students with the aim of helping international students learn about the appeal of working at companies in Kyoto, and to help them find employment and settle in Kyoto.

We are looking for host companies and organizations that can accept international students in this program. Companies and organizations that are already working to recruit international students, as well as companies and organizations that are considering hiring international students for the future, are encouraged to consider participating in this program.

[Point! ] 】
●By accepting international students…
・Having diverse human resources in the workplace will lead to revitalization within the company.
・This will lead to the accumulation of experience in accepting foreign employees.
・It will lead to PR for international students.
●We will hold a program briefing session (online). You can understand the program overview and the benefits of having foreign human resources in your workplace before applying.
●The number of days of practical training is 2~10 days. We support a variety of practical training contents.
●If you are already planning to implement your company’s work experience program, it is okay to have international students participate in your existing program.
●In June, a place will be set up for exchange between host companies and organizations and participating international students, and the management side and international students will conduct interviews to select and match them, and at that time, they will decide whether or not to accept them, and the accepting students will be decided.
●Before the training, we will provide preliminary training to international students on business etiquette and compliance.
