The High School-University Collaboration Future Session is a program that aims to promote the career development of high school and university students, and sets a theme each time, and dialogues and exchanges on that theme across generations and schools, such as high school students, university students, and working adults.
This year, based on the following themes, objectives, and objectives, we recruited executive committee members from high school and university students in Kyoto Prefecture, and the executive committee members took the lead in creating this project by participating in everything from the planning stage of the theme and program structure of the day to public relations activities and the implementation plan of the day.
Therefore, it will be held as described in the "Outline of the Event" below.

Theme

"What is the new life design of 'learning' and 'working' in the era of with corona?"

gist

In 2020, as a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, schools were closed and online classes were introduced in the field of education, and companies were also required to change their lifestyles, such as the introduction of telework. In this society with an uncertain future due to the corona disaster, how will education and society change in the future, and how can high school and university students design new ways of "learning" and "working" in response to these changes?
Amid the various possibilities, we would like to create an opportunity for high school and university students, who will lead the next generation, to think for themselves with flexible ideas with an eye on the future through exchanges that transcend generations and schools, and to build a new life design of "learning" and "working" for the future.

Purpose

(1) We aim to broaden our horizons and create new networks for high school and university students in Kyoto Prefecture by coming into contact with opinions and ideas from various positions. (2) To create new ideas about how to study after entering university, how to work and live after entering society, and to think about specific career choices. (3) In order to derive optimal solutions from complex problems, students from various positions will experience the importance of dialogue. (4) High school and university students will take the initiative in participating from the planning stage and develop their own themes and program structures to develop the ability to work independently and interactively. (5) Through the implementation report session, participation will not be temporary, and opportunities for daily learning and awareness will be continuously provided.

Outline of the event

"Why don't you think about a new life design in the era of coronavirus"

As a measure to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the introduction of online classes is being promoted in the field of education, and companies are also required to change their lifestyles, such as the introduction of telework.
In this online society that has become rapid due to the corona disaster, how will society and education change in the future, and how can high school and university students redesign "learning" and "working" in response to these changes?
In addition, in this rapidly accelerating online society, we believe that we will be able to find a different life design by learning about new education and social forms using IT, and by learning about the new possibilities and richness of each region.
Through dialogue with guests, high school and university students, who will lead the next generation, will have the opportunity to think for themselves about "learning" and "working" in the era of coronavirus with flexible ideas, gain new awareness and learning through interaction through group work, etc., and design their own future.

Implementation Report

On Sunday, November 15, we held the 2020 High School University Collaboration Future Session. This year, from the perspective of preventing the spread of the new coronavirus infection, the event was held online using Zoom, and 37 participants, including 18 executive committee members from high school and university students in Kyoto Prefecture, gathered.
This time, we invited Yuki Hasegawa, Attractiveness Coordinator of Kyoto Prefectural Kaetsudani High School and Miyazu Amanobashi High School, and Tomoki Sakashita and Rina Shibasaki, fourth-year students at Business Breakthrough University. Under the theme of "New Life Design in the Era of Corona," the three guests talked about the impact of the corona disaster and future prospects.
After each 15-minute guest lecture, there was a talk session for questions and answers between the guests and participants. The guests chose and answered a few of the many interesting questions from the participants.
After that, in the breakout session, each group shared their impressions of the guests, and then exchanged opinions on their future lifestyles while reflecting on their current lives under the theme of "Life Design of 'Learning' and 'Work' in the Corona Disaster," deepening their thoughts on their own future.
The participants were greatly stimulated by the interaction with high school and university students from other schools who can be connected regardless of distance or location because they are online, and they were able to spend a very valuable time gaining new awareness and learning about "learning" and "working" in the with corona era.
