Last year, Ryukoku University started a designated project on the learning support environment for students, and it is being verified whether the learning support environment on campus is sufficiently prepared and functioning from physical and institutional aspects. In addition to introducing the outline of these initiatives, he will talk about what he noticed from the verification results and what he could improve.

Otani University says that the response to a student led to the spread of a cross-departmental support system with the Student Support Department as a HUB.

【Panel Discussion】

How to address the support for the diverse students that current higher education accepts is an urgent issue facing many universities and junior colleges.
As universities and junior colleges are required to respond in various ways due to their diversity, it is essential to systematically organize current student support and to understand students and their environment.
After that, we will discuss what kind of support system and mechanism should be set up depending on the form, scale, and environment of each school, and how to support students and learning in the future with specific case studies.

University Consortium Kyoto held the "1st Kyoto FDer Juku 2012: Student Support and Learning Support ~What is Student Support to Enhance Learning?~" on Monday, November 12.

Despite the fact that the event was held on a weekday evening, 14 participants were welcomed, and after Professor Takeshi Hasegawa of Ryukoku University provided a topic, they were divided into two tables for group discussion. Various information was exchanged and shared on the status of provision and improvement of the learning support environment at the university.

Consortium of Universities Kyoto held the "2nd Kyoto FDer Juku 2012: Student Support and Learning Support ~What is Learning Support to Support Learning?~" on Monday, December 10.

Despite the fact that it was held on a weekday evening, 15 participants were welcomed, and after topics were presented by Ms. Hiroshi Fukui and Ms. Junko Hamaguchi of the Student Support Department of Otani University and Junior College, group discussions were held at two tables.
Various information was exchanged and information was shared on the status of the student support and learning support system at the university, the issues they are facing, and countermeasures.

University Consortium Kyoto held "The 3rd Kyoto FDer Juku 2012: What is the Student Support × Learning Support We Need Now?" on Saturday, January 26.

Welcoming 94 participants to Ryukoku University's Avanti Hibito Hall, they systematically organized "student support and learning support", which is attracting a lot of attention in the universalizing higher education environment, understood students and their environment, and reported on examples of support that are actually being worked on. It was held in a symposium format on how to set up a system.

In the panel discussion moderated by Keiji Kawashima, Senior Researcher of the National Institute for Educational Policy Research, who gave the keynote speech, Associate Professor Sugie of the University of Tsukuba, who gave the keynote report, Mr. Hirose of Kyoto Keizai Junior College, who gave the case report, Mr. Shikano of Doshisha University, and Mr. Saito of Kyoto University of Foreign Studies took the stage, and lively discussions were held based on questions from the floor.
