Overview of the business
In response to the need to develop career education and vocational education that aims for social and occupational independence through elementary and secondary education to higher education, the Kyoto High School Collaborative Research Council has been working since 2012 with the aim of motivating high school students to learn for the future and contributing to the promotion of career education at each school. Career Education" project has been launched.
High School and University Collaboration Future Session
The High School-University Collaboration Future Session is a program that aims to promote the career development of high school and university students, and sets a theme each time, and dialogues and exchanges on that theme across generations and schools, such as high school students, university students, and working adults.
Outline of the event
"What kind of work will be needed in society in the future?"
With the advent of AI due to technological innovation, it is said that the time has come to review the very concept of the current profession. What is important is not what kind of occupation will disappear, but what kind of social activities will be necessary in society in the future and what kind of work will be viable as a job. As society becomes more diverse and work styles change, we would like to use this as an opportunity to think about the future of work styles through dialogue with guests about how the interests and concerns of high school and university students are connected to society and how they can be returned to society.
In addition, you will be able to get new ideas about work and career, such as what is happening in society now, how society will change in the future, and what social activities are required there.
Even if your job or occupation changes, in order to live in the future society, you need academic abilities that cannot be measured by tests alone, such as the ability to think, make decisions, express yourself, and take the initiative by flexibly using the knowledge you are currently learning.
