Overview of the business

By utilizing the creative and academic research results of university researchers in the policies and projects of Kyoto City, we aim to return the knowledge of university research to the local community and society. Researchers and the departments in charge of Kyoto City have been collaborating on research since the planning stage, and we aim to form a network based on the surveys and research of this project by holding report meetings on the results of this research and holding exchange meetings between researchers and citizens, city officials, students, etc.

Research Theme Jizo Basin Considered through the Four Regions ~Intergenerational Tradition and Local Community Functions~

Research Outline The Jizo Bon is a folk event that celebrates the Jizo of the towns of Kyoto, and is a lifestyle culture that has been handed down in connection with resident autonomy, but in recent years many towns have declined. Therefore, in this study, we conducted a field survey of the Jizo Basin in four towns with different location conditions, and clarified the contemporary significance of the Jizo Basin through the historical changes of the Jizo Basin so far. He also proposed to Kyoto City that it is important to preserve the Jizo Basin and disseminate its appeal.

Research Outline We conducted and analyzed questionnaire surveys and interview surveys of Jizo Basins in three former school districts, and clarified the role of Jizo Basins and operational issues. As a result, it was proposed that the Jizo Basin is an effective resource for solving current and future urban problems, and that support and support for the Jizo Basin (provision of location, strengthening of public relations, etc.) are necessary in Kyoto City.

Research Outline Based on a questionnaire survey of current university and graduate students enrolled at universities in Kyoto and current junior high and high school students who actually went on school trips to Kyoto, we quantitatively analyzed the impact of school trips to Kyoto on university admissions in Kyoto. As a result, we clarified that school trips have a great influence on university admission to Kyoto, and that the characteristics of universities by size (number of students) are clarified. In order to convey the charms of Kyoto, he proposed to Kyoto City how to utilize analog information in addition to digital information, and for universities, he proposed nighttime lectures for students on school trips.

Research Theme Provision of support measures to realize an environment where family caregivers can balance work and nursing care (work-care-life balance)

Research Outline In the previous year's research, based on questionnaire surveys of companies and employees working there, as well as interviews with people who were forced to retire due to nursing care, it was found that further corporate and community support, especially for male caregivers, is necessary. Therefore, this year, we conducted an additional survey of companies and surveyed the currently expanding male caregivers' associations, and proposed support that the government can provide to companies (awareness-raising projects, subsidies, etc.) and support that can be provided to the community (information collection and provision of information on male caregivers' associations).
