【Kyoto University】Higashiyama Ward In the Awata district of Higashiyama Ward, Kyoto City, where the Shirakawa River flows, there has been a shortage of local cultural activities due to the aging of the population in recent years. In order to solve this problem, the Environmental Composition Laboratory of the Graduate School of Human and Environmental Studies, Kyoto University, will serve as the secretariat and hold a workshop-type competition on the theme of "Utilization of the floating space of the Shirakawa River". The project will be carried out with the approval of residents in cooperation with experts and NPOs. Through this project, we aim to create connections between students and residents that contribute to the liveliness of the area, and to rediscover the charm of Shirakawa. 【Kyoto Seika University】Nakagyo Ward "Setsubun Ghost" is a traditional Kyoto cosplay in which people wear extraordinary costumes only in Setsubun. It declined after the period of high economic growth, and now remains as a geiko event in Hanamachi. The Seika Ghost Association was formed three years ago with the aim of reviving the "Setsubun Ghost", and with the cooperation of the Sanjo area elderly associations and women's associations, it has conducted traditional surveys, "cafes", "parades", etc. Last year, we developed "Spring Breeze Rasuku" with earthquake donations with local companies. 【Ryukoku University】Shimogyo Ward The purpose of this project is to position Nishi Honganji Monzencho as "the town of 36 kasen", to give many people a sense of affinity to Nishi Honganji and its Monzencho, and to restore "bustle" to Nishi Honganji Monzencho by increasing the local population and visitors.
We will carry out two types of projects: activities to reaffirm the charms of Monzencho to local residents and businesses, and activities to widely publicize the charms of Nishi Honganji Temple and Monzencho to the public.

We will make proposals (designs) to make use of these reviewed things in our current lives, and we will always implement and continue, and develop designs that involve action, that is, "design for kotokoshi".
Implementation Report
24 Public presentation (second screening)
On Saturday, June 30, 2012, a public presentation of the "Heisei 24 Gakumachi Collaboration Project (University Regional Collaboration Model Creation Support Project)" was held at Campus Plaza Kyoto to support initiatives aimed at regional revitalization in Kyoto City in collaboration with universities and local organizations.
This project has been held every year since Heisei 16, and this year is the ninth time. In addition to the presenting groups, a total of 80 visitors listened to their presentations in order to get a glimpse of the students' rich ideas and the ideas of local collaboration.
This year, there were 13 applications, and 12 organizations that passed the first round gave presentations. Of these, several projects were selected as subsidized projects (up to 300,000 yen / 1 project), but all of them were wonderful initiatives for regional revitalization.
Kyoto City and the University Consortium Kyoto will continue to support these vibrant initiatives of the university and the region, hoping that they will produce great results!
24 Business certification ceremony
Of the 13 projects that applied this year, 7 were certified as eligible projects and 1 as incentive projects, and a certification ceremony was held at Kyoto City Hall on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Mayor Kadokawa of Kyoto City presented certificates to the representatives of each project.
Heisei 24 Certified Business Report Meeting
The 24th academic town collaboration certification business report meeting and the 25th year business recruitment briefing session were held on Saturday, April 6, 2012 at Campus Plaza Kyoto.
On the day of the event, not only students and university officials, but also many general citizens attended, and eight organizations adopted in the 24th academic year reported their activities.
In the course of planning and operating various initiatives in the region, we have faced many issues, and the results of the project will be a great asset for both students and the community, and I believe that we can utilize them in future activities.
I hope that such initiatives will be carried out on an ongoing basis, not one-offs, and that new businesses will be created and a cycle of revitalization will circulate in each ward of Kyoto City!
