FY2022

FY2022 Foundation Designated Survey Projects

In fiscal 2022, we set the following two designated survey themes and conducted survey research.

(1) Research on the role of inter-university collaborative organizations in supporting students with disabilities at universities, etc.

Principal Investigator Kyoto University Student Services Organization Associate Professor Jun Murata
Research Outline Study support for students with disabilities (reasonable accommodation in education, etc.) is an important issue at each university, etc., but at present, the difference in the status of initiatives is not small. On the other hand, due to the nature of the field that is in a transitional period, there is a limit to the accumulation of expertise, know-how, resources, etc. that each university can respond to alone, so I believe that a scheme in which each university collaborates to solve problems is effective. This research mainly conducts research on efforts to promote support for students with disabilities at each university, etc. implemented by inter-university collaborative organizations.

(2) Research on the actual situation of long-term community cooperation activities by university students and local organizations in Kyoto City and
how to support them

Principal Investigator Kyoto Tachibana University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration Assistant Professor Masayuki Ota
Research Outline This study objectively clarifies the actual situation of long-term community cooperation activities by university students and local organizations in Kyoto City, and then considers the future support provided by universities and related organizations involved in these activities. Specifically, through questionnaires, we will identify student organizations (seminars and university-approved organizations) that are engaged in long-term community collaboration activities in Kyoto City, and clarify the factors and issues that have led the organizations to take root in the community, mainly through interviews. Then, while learning from the knowledge of advanced experience nationwide, we will consider the role that universities and related organizations should play and how to provide effective support to university students who are engaged in continuous regional cooperation activities.
